hope everyone enjoyed a well-run, exciting belmont stakes. been taking a bit of a breather, so let's take a crack at this less than stellar wednesday card.
r1: milady linda. i'll take a swing with the dropper for the leading trainer, doug o'neill. this field is suspect at best and all these horse should be staggering home in the final 1/16th. milady is bred to go long and i'll take a swing.
r4: ruler's court. don't like the rail, but think this horse is going to pop the gate and run run run under flores. this is a loaded filed with some nice win early pedigrees, but harty charge has been training forwardly and looks very live first out. going to use the outside horse, we all love aleyna to complete the exacta.
r5: gentlestone. this one should love the extra distance and will be a decent number in here under mike smith. the blinkers should have him closer to the pace early and he should be able to grind out a victory for shirreffs.
r6: suave meteroite. the dropper looks live for aguirre as this field isn't nearly as deep as it looks on paper.
r8: one smart cat. probably won't get much of a price on the drop, but no matter, this field is as empty as scrimshaw coming down the stretch at belomnt.
